II. PUBLIC COMMENT (10 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.)

 

This time is set aside for persons wishing to address the board on matters not on the agenda. Speakers will be limited to five minutes, unless extended by the board chair. If written material is included, 15 copies of all information to be distributed to board members should be given to the Recorder prior to the meeting. Action will not be taken at this meeting on citizen comments. The board, however, after hearing from interested citizens, may place items under new business on a future agenda so proper notice may be given to all interested parties. If no one wishes to comment, the next scheduled agenda item will be considered.

 

III. REPORTS

 

A. Compliance Cases -

Final Orders, Hearings Previously Held

 

1. Jack Corman Plumbing, Inc., was found in violation of arranging for or making a plumbing installation without a permit, based on hearing held.

 

2. John Muonio was denied an Oregon Reciprocal Journeyman Plumber's Certificate of Competency, based on hearing held.

 

Repeat Violator

 

3. Daniel Jennings, assessment of $2,000 civil penalty for allowing an unlicensed individual to install a water heater and installed without a permit in Beaverton.

IV. COMMUNICATIONS

 

Letter from Regional Water Providers Consortium - Endorsing approval of non-flush urinals through an interpretive ruling.

 

V. APPEALS - None

VI. UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

Non-Flush Urinal Task Force Report - A draft interpretive ruling was completed by the task force at their meeting May 19, 2003. The committee met and reviewed information regarding installations made by the State Parks and Recreation Department at 13 locations.

 

VII. NEW BUSINESS

 

Spears Manufacturing - Requests approval of CPVC Corrosive Waste Drainage System. Spears Manufacturing has tested the product to multiple standards under the Special Engineered (SE) product listing with NSF International and requests approval by the board. (attachments)
