The division and Building Codes Structures Board propose to update the 2007
OSSC with the 2009 IBC, creating the new 2010 Oregon Structural Specialty Code.
The committee will review model code changes, Oregon amendments to the 2007 OSSC
and accepted code change proposals submitted by the public. These proposals could
include adding an amendment to the proposed base model code, making recommendations
to incorporate statewide code interpretations, or alternate method rulings into
the updated code.
The division will forward proposed code changes for the 2010 Oregon Structural
Specialty Code to the board this fall, with an anticipated code adoption date
of April 1, 2010.
