The division and Building Codes Structures Board propose
to update the 2010 OSSC with the 2012 IBC, creating the new
2014 Oregon Structural Specialty Code. To help in this effort,
the committee will review model code changes, Oregon amendments
to the 2010 OSSC and accepted code change proposals submitted
by the public. These proposals could include adding an amendment
to the proposed base model code, making recommendations to
incorporate statewide code interpretations or alternate method
rulings into the updated code.
The division will forward proposed code changes for the 2014
Oregon Structural Specialty Code to the board mid 2013, with
an anticipated code adoption date of April 1, 2014.
