I. Board Business

A. Call to order.
B. Roll call.
C. Approval of agenda and order of business.
D. Approval of the May 11, 2006 regular board meeting minutes.
E. Date of the next regularly scheduled meeting: September 28, 2006.
F. Formal farewell to Karen Hale.

 

II. Public Comment

This time is set aside for persons wishing to address the board on matters not on the agenda. Speakers will be limited to five minutes. The board chair reserves the right to further limit or exclude repetitious or irrelevant presentations. If written material is included, 20 three-hole-punched copies of all information to be distributed to board members should be given to the Recorder prior to the meeting. Action will not be taken at this meeting on citizen comments. The board, however, after hearing from interested citizens, may place items on a future agenda so proper notice may be given to all interested parties. If no one wishes to comment, the next scheduled agenda item will be considered.

Harding Electric, Inc. - Reconsideration of final order regarding electrical contractor license.

Mark Akutagawa - a Class "B" limited energy technician, assessment of civil penalty for making an installation without proper licensing and for making an unsafe installation.

Repeat violators.

Campbell, Robert, an unlicensed individual, settlement combined with B & B Alarms.


4.
B & B Alarms, DBA Aspen Alarm & Security, an Oregon corporation, assessment of civil penalty for not obtaining a contractor's license or a permit and for having unlicensed individuals make installations.

C. Summary of enforcement actions previously taken by the division for cases III.C.1. through 25., outlined on the enforcement board report. (No board action required)

 

D. Program updates.

 

IV. Communications

Update and review of the new license application rules implementing HB 2181.

VI. Unfinished Business

Review proposed rule for partial exemption from electrical product certification requirement for distribution equipment operating over 600 volts for adoption.

 

VII. New Business

A. Request from Pflow Industries, Inc., and Pace Equipment Company for a partial elevator license exemption.

B. Review and approve draft rules for the definition of "Immediate Family."

C. Review and approve draft conflict of interest rules. (Rules late submission)

D. Request for alternate verification for Sean Henderson to sit for the journeyman electrician's exam.

 

VIII. Announcements

The electrical code forum will meet Wednesday, September 6, 2006, 4:00 p.m., State Office Building, 800 NE Oregon Street, Portland, Oregon, room 120 C.
