II. Public comment

This time is set aside for persons wishing to address the board on non-agenda items. Speakers are limited to five minutes. When it is your time to speak, the board chair will call you to the front testimony table. Please state your name and the organization you represent (if any). If written material is included, please provide 20 three-hole-punched copies of all information to board staff prior to the meeting for distribution to board members. Action will not be taken at this meeting on citizen comments. The board, however, after hearing from interested persons, may place items on a future agenda so proper notice may be given to all interested parties.

A. Board review and approve draft rules for permitting and inspecting emerging technology related to electrical car charging stations (Late submission item)
B. Board review and approve Elevator Code Committee's recommendation for the 2008 Oregon Elevator Specialty Code
C. Request by SolarWorld Industries of America to create an exemption under ORS 479.540(10) for installation of industrial electrical equipment used in solar cell manufacturing (Additional information from solar company and City of Hillsboro)
D. Board review and approve Youth Limited Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship program approved by the Oregon State Apprenticeship and Training Council


VIII. Announcements

The division is forming a rulemaking advisory committee to assist the division in reviewing a temporary rule that creates an exemption from engineering requirements when designing, planning, and laying out the electrical portions of a fire protection system.
