House
Bill 3462, passed by the 2009 Legislature, directed the
division to do two things. The first required the division to
establish a renewal process for Oregon-issued certifications
that include application and fee requirements for inspectors,
plan reviewers, and building officials (Phase I). The second
authorizes the creation of a pilot program to train and certify
individuals as specials inspectors authorized to enforce portions
of the specialty codes (Phase II). The division is implementing
HB 3462 in two phases. Phase I was finalized at the end of 2009
and Phase II will begin in early 2010. The page will provide
important information and updates for building officials, plan
reviewers, inspectors, and continuing education providers across
the state about the new requirements set forth by implementing
this bill. |
