the opportunity to become Certified Quality Auditors was presented to the RV Program, we recognized a direct path toward achieving and maintaining to mission of the Division.
The American Society of Quality is a society of individuals and organizations dedicated to the ongoing development, advancement, and promotion of quality concepts, principles, and techniques.
ASQ has been the leading quality improvement organization in the United States since 1946 and was found as a result of a merger of several local quality societies that had formed after wartime statistical
quality control classes. The classes were held to improve and maintain the quality of defense materials during World War II. ASQ's members initiated most of the quality methods now used
throughout the world, including statistical process control, quality cost measurement and control, total quality management, failure analysis, and zero defects.
The mission of ASQ is to facilitate continuos improvement and increased customer satisfaction by identifying, communicating and promoting the use of quality principles, concepts, and technologies;
and they be recognized throughout the world as the leading authority on, and champion for, quality.
This type of certification along with the documentation procedures used during an inspection provide the manufacturers a uniform inspection package. Manufacturers know exactly what is to
be examined during the inspection, simplification of the inspection process and prior notification of when an inspector will be at the facility. This certification recognizes our inspectors
nationally and internationally as professionals quality auditors.
