File a complaint against:
You are our eyes and ears for wrongdoing in the financial industries we regulate. By filing a complaint, you alert us to problems that may affect other Oregonians.
Of course, it is best to avoid problems altogether. Call our divisions before you do business with a company to find out if it is legal in Oregon or the promises you are hearing sound too good to be true.
Insurance company or agent
If you believe your insurance company wrongfully denied or delayed a claim, we will look into your complaint. The Oregon Insurance Division investigates potential violations of Oregon insurance law and your insurance contract.
Finance or securities industry
The Oregon Division of Finance and Corporate Securities investigates a range of financial industries. Perhaps you paid money to a company that promised to help you modify a loan but did nothing or maybe you were the victim of an investment scam or were charged too much in interest on a consumer loan. You can file complaints against investment advisers, broker-dealers, state-chartered banks, trusts or credit unions, check cashers, consumer financing companies, mortgage lenders, pawnbrokers, and people or companies helping with your debt, including your home mortgage.
Consumers can submit complaints about code violations and to report work performed by unlicensed electricians, plumbers, boilermakers, elevator contractors, and manufactured structure installers.
