State revokes Cave Junction insurance agent’s license

SALEM - The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) has revoked the insurance agent’s license of a Cave Junction woman, Cecile G. Zimmerman, for violating the Oregon Insurance Code.

An investigation by the Insurance Division of DCBS found that Zimmerman violated state laws by illegally withholding payments for property insurance premiums in three instances. She also failed to deposit premiums in an insurance premium trust account in one instance.

Zimmerman agreed to the license revocation and to a lifetime ban from working in the insurance industry in Oregon. She had been licensed as an Oregon insurance agent since 1990.
