Oregon no longer provides printed licenses

The Oregon Insurance Division no longer issues printed initial, renewal, or replacement licenses. All license information for active licensees is available on our Web site. To view your license status or to print the official copy of your license, please use one of the Search Pages below:

  • Insurance Producers – Includes all individuals licensed as insurance producers (agents), adjusters and consultants.
  • Attention Health Insurance Producers:

Please take time to learn about the Oregon Medical Insurance Pool (OMIP). OMIP is the high-risk health insurance pool for the state. OMIP was established by the Oregon Legislature to cover adults and children who are unable to obtain medical insurance because of health conditions. OMIP also provides a way to continue insurance coverage for those who exhaust COBRA or state continuation benefits and have no other portability options.

Please visit our Web site at: http://www.omip.state.or.us/

Click here to view the OMIP Producer Guide for information on helping your clients apply for OMIP

  • Insurance Agencies – Includes all firms licensed as insurance agencies, insurance consultants, independent insurance adjusters and life settlement brokers.

Your license continues in force until it is suspended, revoked, or expired. It cannot be reinstated more than one year after it expires.

A licensee must notify the director of the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services no more than 30 days after a change of residence address, business address, or telephone number.

A producer cannot transact insurance unless appointed by an insurer or affiliated with a business entity.
