Quarterly Health Enrollment ChartsThese charts provide quick overviews of quarterly enrollment and enrollment trends in key health insurance markets for the most recent three-year period. They include Oregonians - subscribers (or employees) and their eligible dependents - covered by individual, small group, association/trust/MEWA and large group policies, as well as members covered by self insured group plans. Employers who self insure their health plan may buy stop loss insurance for financial protection against high claim dollars. Those enrolled under self insured plans protected by stop loss coverage may be reported under the stop loss category, when the insurer does not administer the self insured health plan, or may be included in total self insured enrollment, when the stop loss insurer also administers the self insured health plan. In 2010, reporting changed to include all Oregonians covered by health insurance, regardless of where their insurance policy was issued. Prior to 2010, enrollment was reported only for policies issued in Oregon. Total Lives reported by companies may include types of insurance that are not shown in these charts. So, the sum of insurance types shown in the charts may not equal Total Lives. Definitions:
