Oregon OSHA free safety training offered in Klamath Falls
The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) will
be presenting two days of free training classes for employers and workers
in Klamath Falls during October.
The Public Education and Conferences Section of Oregon OSHA will be offering
four different workshops during the training sessions on October 2 and
3:
Lockout/Tagout, 8:00am October 2
Safety & Health Management, 1:00pm October 2.
Confined Space Safety, 8:00am October 3.
Safety Committee Operations, 1:00pm October 3.
Lockout/Tagout' will help participants understand how hazardous
energy could injure or kill workers in machinery (even when the machine
is turned "off"). Safety & Health Management' is an
introduction class for employers to learn about creating safe workplaces
and planning ahead. Confined Space Safety' will help participants
learn about the special safety requirements when a worker will be inside
of a confined space (or inside of machinery), and when a special permit
is required. Safety Committee Operations' will give attendees an
introduction to OR-OSHA's requirements for operating a workplace safety
committee.
The workshops will be held at Klamath Falls Community College (Building
One), 7390 South Sixth Street Room 111 in Klamath Falls. OR-OSHA provides
workshop materials for participants.
Oregon OSHA offers a variety of conferences, training, educational resources
and consultation services to help Oregon employers create safer workplaces
