Oregon OSHA free safety training offered in Coos Bay
The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) will
be presenting two days of free training classes for employers and workers
in Coos Bay during October.
The Public Education and Conferences Section of Oregon OSHA will be offering
four different workshops during the training sessions on October 15 and
16:
Safety & Health Management, 8:00am October 15.
Hazard Identification and Control, 1:00pm October 15.
What to Expect from an OR-OSHA Inspection, 8:00am October 16.
Effective Recommendations, 1:00pm October 16.
Safety & Health Management' is an introduction class for
employers to learn about creating safe workplaces and planning ahead.
Hazard Identification and Control' will help participants uncover
a hazardous condition or practice in the workplace, and take steps to
correct the situation.What to Expect From an OR-OSHA Inspection'
helps clear up some misconceptions about Oregon OSHA, and how an OR-OSHA
compliance officer conducts an inspection or investigation on a worksite
(including what rights and responsibilities both employers and employees
have when a compliance officer shows up). Effective Recommendations'
will address how to write and present safety recommendations in a manner
that shows management a safety improvement is a positive investment in
your company's future.
The workshops will be held at Southwestern Oregon Community College -
Newmark Center Room 228, 2110 Newmark in Coos Bay. OR-OSHA provides workshop
materials for participants.
