If you're a small business professional, you know there just aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish everything - sales work, production work, accounting, and running your safety program. Does it take a lot of time to set up a safety program? How about two lunch hours! Oregon OSHA will offer a no-cost simple safety and health program in Beaverton during two lunchtime workshops in November.

The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) designed the ‘Safety for Small Business' program to help small business owners start implementing safety and health programs in their workplace. The program consists of two one-hour "brown bag" workshops. Participants bring their own lunches and Oregon OSHA provides workshop materials for participants. The workshop is free.

The Safety for Small Business workshop is presented in two phases. Attendance is required at the first meeting to participate in the Phase Two meeting two weeks later. Participants will learn how to integrate a safety and health program into their business plan, receive industry-specific resource materials, and be introduced to the program's ten short duration safety and health training modules.
