No-cost pesticide protection training class in The Dalles
The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) will
provide a free training session about pesticide safety issues for mid-Columbia
region residents in November.
The training will review Oregon OSHA's Worker Protection Standard'
for protecting workers at risk of being exposed to pesticides, primarily
agricultural workers. A special emphasis of the class will discuss providing
effective training to workers whose primary language is not English.
The training workshop will be held Thursday, November 21st from 8:00am
to Noon at Columbia Gorge Community College - Kitchen Training Center
Room #1, 400 East Scenic Drive in The Dalles. Oregon OSHA provides workshop
materials for participants.
This class qualifies for three (3) credit hours of pesticide re-certification
training for Oregon-certified pesticide applicators and consultants.
Oregon OSHA offers a variety of conferences, on-site training, educational
resources and consultation services to help Oregon employers create safer
workplaces and reduce the amount of productivity lost due to injuries
