No-cost pesticide protection training class in Beaverton and Salem
The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) will
provide a free training session about pesticide safety issues for Washington
County residents and Willamette Valley residents in December.
The training will review Oregon OSHA's 'Worker Protection Standard' for
protecting workers at risk of being exposed to pesticides, primarily agricultural
workers. A special emphasis of the class will discuss providing effective
training to workers whose primary language is not English.
BEAVERTON: The training workshop will be held Wednesday, December 18 from
8:00am to Noon at Portland Community College Capital Center, 18624 NW
Walker Road in Beaverton.
SALEM: The training workshop will be held Thursday, December 19 from 1:00pm
to 5:00pm in Training Room 'C' of the Labor and Industries Building, 350
Winter Street NE in downtown Salem.
This class qualifies for three (3) credit hours of pesticide re-certification
training for Oregon-certified pesticide applicators and consultants. Oregon
OSHA provides workshop materials for participants.
