Oregon OSHA's Technical Manual provides practical information and guidance to Oregon OSHA compliance safety and health officers (CSHO) on a variety of workplace safety and health topics.
The purpose of our Technical Manual is to assist CSHOs in hazard recognition, accident prevention and in establishing sound safety and health programs.
The content is based on current Oregon OSHA standards, research publications, consensus standards, and the federal OSHA Technical Manual (OTM).
Currently, each chapter of the 1990s era Technical Manual is being converted into Word documents and where available, the content updated to reflect information provided by federal OSHA.
The 1990s era Technical Manual chapters will remain accessible as PDF files until the conversion process is complete, at which time the converted chapters will be provided as both PDF files and Word documents.
Our Technical Manual is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for any provision of the Oregon Safety Employment Act or any standards issued by Oregon OSHA.
