Q: Did my license number change?
A: Yes, individuals and agencies both received new license numbers as
a result of the SBS transition.
Individual License Numbers became the same as the National Producer Numbers
(NPNs) for individuals. The following link will help you find your NPN.
https://pdb.nipr.com/html/PacNpnSearch.html
All business entities also received new license numbers.
Business entities are able to find the new license number through the
following link:

-
Q: How can I look up my license information?
A: There is a search feature available on our website.
Our search pages have changed. Now all licensees are able to view their
information via the SBS Licensee Lookup. You can search for both producer
and agency information from the following link:

Q: How do I print my license?
A: Licensees will be able
to obtain a PDF license via the SBS License Print or Online
Licensee Services (OLS). Every time a major change happens to
the licensee's record, a free license print will be available.
SBS charges a fee for additional license prints, so it is recommended
that you save a copy of this license to your desktop for future
prints. If you save a copy of the license, you can print it,
or email it out as many times as you like.

Q: Am I able to view how many CE hours I have completed?
A: Yes.
All CE courses taken after May 7, 2012 will be recorded in the SBS system.
Oregon resident producers now have the ability to view their CE transcripts
in real time. The responsibility of reporting course completions will
be handled by the education providers, therefore licensees will no longer
submit their CE data themselves.
Any CE course taken prior to the implementation of SBS will not be reflected
in SBS. Any courses that have been taken after the SBS implementation
will be reflected in the individual's records. For the next renewal, a
producer should verify the number of hours that have been uploaded into
SBS and send in any missing hours via a certificate of completion as you
have always done.
-
Q: What has changed for continuing education providers?
A: Quite a lot has changed.
CE providers are now required to report the course completions for their
classes to the Oregon Insurance Division. This information is inserted
into the records of the individual licensees.
The SBS Online CE (OCE) module offers CE providers a great deal of online
options. Below is a list of the functionality available through OCE. Providers
are able to:
- Submit course applications
- Submit course offerings (or schedules)
- Upload course rosters
- View detailed provider information
- Submit instructor applications
- Upload attachments to pending courses
Providers should also be aware that their course numbers changed on May
7th.
Please also note that course roster submittals submitted through SBS
will incur a $1.00 fee per
credit hour, per student.
