Oregon OSHA offers free training in Lincoln City
LINCOLN CITY - The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division
(OR-OSHA) will offer free training sessions to members of the coastal
business community during two days of workshops in June.
The Public Education and Conferences Section of Oregon OSHA will be offering
four different workshops during the training sessions on June 26 &
Hazard Identification and Control will help class participants uncover
a hazardous condition or practice, and take steps to correct the situation.
Safety Committee Operations will give attendees an introduction to OR-OSHAs
requirements for operating a workplace safety committee. Ergonomics Awareness
introduces the basic steps of ergonomics (the human bodys ability or inability
to adapt to forces in a workplace environment) and how to evaluate an ergonomics
safety program. What to Expect From an OR-OSHA Inspection helps clear
up some misconceptions about Oregon OSHA, and how an OR-OSHA compliance
officer conducts an inspection or investigation on a worksite (including
what rights and responsibilities both employers and employees have when
a compliance officer shows up).
