Oregon OSHA free safety training offered in Eugene
The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) will
be presenting two days of free training classes for employers and workers
in Eugene during February.
The Public Education Section of Oregon OSHA will be offering three different
workshops during the training sessions on February 5 and 6:
Confined Space Safety, 8:00am February 5.
Exposure Control/Bloodborne Pathogens, 1:00pm February 5.
Industrial Hygiene for the non-IH, 1:00pm February 6.
Confined Space Safety
'Confined Space Safety' will help participants learn about the special
safety requirements when a worker will be inside of a confined space (or
inside of machinery), and when a special permit is required.
Exposure Control/Bloodborne Pathogens
'Exposure Control/Bloodborne Pathogens' will show how to protect workers
from bloodborne diseases and contamination as well as implementing an
effective exposure control plan.
Industrial Hygiene for the non-IH
'Industrial Hygiene for the Non-IH' will introduce participants to
the role of industrial hygienists (IH's) in the workplace health and safety
team
The workshops will be held at Oregon OSHA's Eugene Field Office, 1140
Willagillespie Road, Suite 42 in Eugene (near Valley River Center and
the Delta Highway). Oregon OSHA provides workshop materials for participants.
