Meet the Education Team
Linda came to Oregon OSHA in January of 2008. She has over 15 years of experience in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety. Prior to joining Oregon OSHA, Linda worked specifically with the automotive industry, for the federal government, and in the environmental consulting field. She has also served as adjunct faculty for a small liberal arts university.
Tomás is currently developing and delivering occupational safety and health training materials in Spanish and English to assist employers in reducing occupational injuries and illnesses among the growing Hispanic population (See PESO on Oregon OSHA's web site). Since 1989, Tomás has worked as an Oregon OSHA health compliance officer, manager of Oregon OSHA's agricultural safety and health program, and manager of Workers' Compensation Division Medical Review Unit. Tomás is a native of Mexico City. After attending and graduating from Southern Oregon State College, he decided to make Oregon his permanent home.
Meri is Oregon OSHA's Public Education Program Developer. She is working with the Education team to create a strong online presence for Oregon OSHA. She has over 20 years experience developing training materials, with the last 10 years focusing on online training materials. She worked as a consultant for most of those years. Meri joined Oregon OSHA in 2014 and is looking forward to many years helping to deliver our message of safety to workers around the state.
