Oregon OSHA Workshop Materials

Our Goal:

To support Oregon OSHA's strategic goal to help Oregon Employers become self-sufficient in developing and maintaining an effective safety and health system, the Public Education Section makes the following materials available for download at no cost.

Our Classes:

Each class workbook is the same as that used by our instructors in presenting our popular statewide workshops. The instructor notes will give you added information on presenting the class. We encourage you to attend a workshop before you present it. You may also want to attend our train-the-trainer workshops too.

Our Materials:

We encourage you to use these class materials to provide introductory-level education and training. Although the workbooks may contain a substantial amount of information, they may not necessarily satisfy all your training needs for a particular subject. For instance: Class 104 covers general hazard identification and control principles, but does not cover hazards unique to your work environment. Consequently, this class, by itself, will not satisfy all the requirements for safety committee training in hazard identification and control as detailed in OAR 437-0765, Safety Committee Rules.

This material is for information purposes only. Its purpose is to inform Oregon employers of best practices in occupational safety and health and general Oregon OSHA compliance requirements. This material is not a substitute for any provision of the Oregon Safety Employment Act or any standards issued by Oregon OSHA.
