Interpreter Information For Website Users

• Interpreter requests should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the hearing or mediation.
• WCB is required to hire certified court interpreters first. If a certified interpreter is unavailable, a qualified interpreter will be hired.
• WCB pays for the interpreter when interpretation services are provided by WCB. A WCB contractor must perform interpretation services for hearings.
• WCB interpreters are available for mediations, upon request.
• Once an interpreter request has been submitted to WCB, there is no need for a second request if the hearing is for the same claimant.
